This morning, I stopped by my favorite coffee shop before work. As I stood in line, I noticed a young woman nervously fixing her hair, pulling at her jacket, clearly uncomfortable.
When she finally ordered, the barista complimented her smile. Instantly, her whole face lit up. Just like that — she went from hiding to glowing.
It made me think… how many of us spend so much energy doubting ourselves, when sometimes all it takes is one kind word to remind us of our worth?
I smiled at her on my way out, and she smiled back. That little exchange gave me more confidence than my morning coffee. Funny how empowering others can empower you too.
I’ve promised myself something today: to stop being my own harshest critic, and to start being my own biggest cheerleader. If I can uplift strangers, why not uplift myself every single day?
Lesson of the day: Confidence is contagious. When you shine, you give others permission to shine too. ✨
